ARTIST: Suzan Drummen

drummen-2

Dutch artist Suzan Drummen creates sparkling floor installations using an array of individually placed mirrors, crystals, chromed metal, optical glass and precious stones. The fractal-like patterns in each installation form a sort of temporary 3D carpet that alters the space in which its installed by reflecting light in all directions. (via Lustik)

I love art that is simple in design yet unique enough to capture the view. The art makes you think and wonder how he did the transitions so smoothly. There is obviously some MC Escher influence in his work.

I am definitely going to get a few of his prints for my house.

Artist: David French

I met the artist David French while attending a local neighborhood art fair in Charlotte. I was in awe at his technique. He told Lundy and I that all the paintings are from places in Charlotte. The unique thing I loved about his paintings where the shape of the canvas, which were all small and long rectangles.
